The book shows the duos getting to know different people and different countries, all by motorbike. The riders not only ride through some fantastic scenery, but also capturing it by breathtaking and emotive photography. These picture accompanied by their explanatory captions recreate the atmosphere and experiences of the journeys. While these journeys were predominantly for the testing of the Touratech equipment (and more recently the new BMW motorcycles) they have taken on a life of their own and have had a huge following when turned into a DVD.

The book follows five tours, which take the reader to the roof of the world in Tibet, through the jungles of Bolivia, from Mexico City to Baja California, from North to South through the Western USA and through the Namibian veldt up to the Angolan border.
