A BUSY AUTUMN FOR THE TOURATECH TEAM
But lots of exciting happenings in the South Wales HQ and further afield.

You've probably been wondering what happened to your regular Touratech update...fear not we haven't forgotten you all. It's been such a busy time here, we've been waiting for a lull to bring you up to date with all the news from Touratech land - and BOY is there a bunch of news to bring you! So here goes with a bumper issue of our newsletter.
We've been out to Touratech HQ in Germany to see a whole raft of new products, visited the huge Intermot show at Cologne to scope out what's happening in the Industry (and take a sneaky peak at our new stand for "Motorcycle Live!" at the NEC). You can see pics of the trip here on our Facebook page (and no - it wasn't all work as you can see...).
As well as organising a wide array of special offers on Garmin Sat Nav's and deciding to have a clear out of our Demo bike fleet to make room for new models and stock (see below) - we've been busy taking delivery of some new babies...
We've (very) recently been appointed as a dealer by Husqvarna, who are now effectively BMW's off-road competition arm. Reflecting our interest, commitment and enthusiasm for all things knobbly tyred this represents a major move forward for us and we're as excited as kids at Christmas with our little red and white darlings. Of course they're here for you to buy - not just for us to look at (and play with - we have demo's for you to test here as well), so come on down and kick the tyres (for more info keep reading).
So between now and Christmas we'll be at the Dirt Bike show as well as the NEC, we have the UK press and Dealer launch for Husqvarna, our friends at Goretex are stealing Neil and Graham for a few days to train them up on all elements of waterproof clothing and some of us are even squeezing in a couple of days off...no wait - those are Sundays...

Here come the Huskies!

New Husqvarna models will now take pride of place in the Touratech showroom including the newest models from 2010/11 such as the TE449 and TE511. You'll also have the opportunity to test ride some of Husqvarna's latest models, thanks to the extensive demo fleet available.
We're delighted to be on board with the new set-up at Husqvarna and we were thrilled when our first new bikes arrived. Putting the famous name of Husqvarna alongside our own well known brand made perfect sense. We've already had a great deal of interest in the bikes and are looking forward to riding them ourselves to get a real feel for the product.
We'll be exhibiting at the 2010 Motorcycle Live Show at Birmingham's NEC, 27 November - 5 December (stand B120). Husqvarna motorcycles will be on display on our stand and the official Husqvarna stand and the expert Touratech team on hand to answer all your questions.

New products launched in Germany

On our recent trip across the channel, we were delighted to see a whole raft of new products developed by our R&D team in Niedereschach. Road bikes in particular feature ever more widely in the range of models we now cater for.
The new catalogues will be available soon, starting with the Streetline catalogue expected within the next week.

Forthcoming events...
It's that time of year again and the NEC rolls around once more. We're confident that this years show will signal a significant reversal in the decline of recent events. All the major manufacturers will be there (we're right next to our friends from BMW in hall 2, stand b120) the show runs from the 27th of November to the 5th of December. As well as the latest accessories and new models as announced at the Cologne show, we'll hopefully have some Sat Nav help and advice from the awfully nice people at Garmin (maybe the odd show offer or two as well...) www.motorcyclelive.co.uk

Good news from Garmin and Go-pro
|
For November and December only, Garmin are reducing their costs to us - so we're passing on the savings to you. Reduced prices across the range can be seen here demand is expected to increase, so order in plenty of time for Christmas if you're thinking prezzies...
Go-Pro have also announced some exciting upgrades for their amazing little Camera's. Seen in action by half the civilised world, much of the underground footage from the Chilean miners rescue was shot on a Go-Pro. Now there are even more features and functionality to take advantage of...and they're still amazingly good value.

Going Somewhere...?

We have plans afoot to head off to Portugal in early March with our friends at the BMW Off Road School. Aimed at big trailie riders, we hope to put together some not too challenging trail riding, with some play time on more serious enduro tackle.

While we're on the subject of trips, you'll hopefully have noticed a new Blogs section on our website, chronicling the exploits of our customers as they travel the globe. If you have a blog, do send us details and we'll pick up the RSS feed and plumb you into our website, which attracts well over 10,000 visits a month. |
Last but not least - the great Demo Bike Sale!

As we've now got a showroom full of Huskies with more to come, plus new bikes on the way from Yamaha (yes we'll have a Super Tenere) and new models from other manufacturers lined up, we need to free up some precious space!
So as a special Christmas treat we've radically reduced the prices of most of our demo bikes to tempt you.
With thousands of pounds knocked off, there's some real bargains to be had here, so be quick - we only have a few and they will be sold on a first come first served basis!
