Handle Bar Bracket for Apple iPhone…the iBracket perhaps?

The iPhone is a worldwide phenomenon and with apps aplenty there’s every reason why you may want to take yours along on rides. This bracket (Note: not yet available in the UK) follows the minimalist design of the phone itself, yet still manages to incorporate a host of features and benefits:

Spot 2 Satellite GPS Messenger
(NOTE: available in the UK from early April 2010)

A reliable way to stay in touch, where ever you are in the world.

I used a Spot device in the USA and Central America to send regular messages and locations back to a series of 10 people I’d pre set.

With the added tracking function I was able to send location signals to Google Earth and then I added a google earth link to my blog, so not only was I able to let folks know I was okay, but also where I was. It also worked as a way to log photos and film clips to locations. You can also add the GEOS Search and Rescue function where there’s $100,000 insurance to help you get extricated from any danger or injury, worldwide.

It’s a great gadget for putting your mind and those of the folks back home at ease, plus a great aid memoir for the route you undertook.

Now due in early April is the Spot 2. The Spot 2 has all the features of the original spot unit but in a 30% smaller and lighter form. The spot 2 also comes with LED lights to show what functions are being run and it is also waterproofed to be able to be submersed in water ideal for deep river crossings.

Sometimes you just don’t want to be the centre of attention, to tread softly and leave no footprints.

That’s usually the moment that you turn your bike to leave quietly and your tank bag decides it’s appropriate to make contact with the horn button, alerting all in the vicinity to your presence.

On page 130 all Zumo 660 owners will find the Bluetooth answer they’ve been waiting for. The Scala Rider G4 can be paired with the 660 and a bike to bike communication range of up to 1 mile.

With the G4 Powerset 3-way and 4-way system there’s the flexibility to communicate between two bikes rider and pillions, or three separate bikes, with all participants able to speak at the same time.

This is a previously unobtainable level of communication, making group rides, or adventure rides a shared experience, or just easier to safely manage.

There’s a host of additional features for MP3, mobile phone, iPod and UHF radio, making the G4 a complete on-bike and bike to bike comms system.

Turn to page 584 of the 2010 Adventure catalogue and you’ll see we’ve added a new range for Husqvarna bikes, including the TE 250/310/450/510 and the soon to be launched 630. We hope to have examples of the TE range in our showroom by Summer 2010, when we will be Tourateching them up!
