NEW HUSQVARNA DEALER FOR SOUTH WALES

South Wales’ adventure motorcycle specialists, Touratech, has been appointed Husqvarna dealer for Street, Trail and Enduro models.
Based just at the edge of the Brecon Beacons, in Ystradgynlais, Powys, Touratech is well known for their comprehensive range of accessories and equipment for adventure travel. Now the enthusiastic team headed by Dakar racer and organiser of the famous Dawn to Dusk 24 hour enduro event, Nick Plumb, has taken the decision to move into motorcycle sales to expand the business.
Husqvarna models will now take pride of place in the Touratech showroom including the newest models from 2010 such as the TE449 and TE511. Customers will also have the opportunity to test ride some of Husqvarna’s latest models, thanks to the extensive demo fleet available.
Nick Plumb said: “We’re delighted to be on board with the new set-up at Husqvarna and we were thrilled when our first new bikes arrived. As a life long off-road fan and racer, putting the famous name of Husqvarna alongside our own well known brand made perfect sense. We’ve already had a great deal of interest in the bikes and are looking forward to riding them ourselves to get a real feel for the product. I hope this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship, if our dealings with the dealer support team so far are anything to go by, then it certainly should be!”
Touratech will be exhibiting at the 2010 Motorcycle Live Show at Birmingham’s NEC, 27 November – 5 December (stand B120). Husqvarna motorcycles will be on display and the expert Touratech team on hand to answer all your questions.
Husqvarna Motorcycles became part of the BMW Group in 2007 and has benefited from substantial investment from the parent company, including a completely new R & D facility and new and improved production lines at the Cassinetta factory, located beside Lake Varese in Northern Italy.
The company’s aim is for continuous improvement in quality and reliability, with the technology to win. The Husqvarna racing team recently celebrated success when Enduro rider, Antoine Meo, took first place in the 2010 E1 Enduro World Championship, riding his TE250.
